The main use of batteries is to power the motorcycle engine. Therefore, they act as energy accumulators. Chemical reactions take place inside them between two lead plates, water and sulfuric acid (these two components form an electrolyte).
The wear of these plates causes a short circuit inside the battery. This causes a discharge in a short time, causing the battery to lose its useful life.
Preventive maintenance is required, especially in the condition of the terminals, removing the sediments produced by the evaporation of the acid. Once removed, a layer of Vaseline or grease should be applied to the terminals to prevent the appearance of sediments. Also, the joints between the terminals and the connectors of the electrical installation should be kept clean.
HIBARI® offers the widest portfolio of batteries with technology, excellent performance and durability, for each type of motorcycle: conventional type, maintenance-free, for use in high and low displacement.
