The main use of batteries is to start the motorcycle’s engine. Therefore, they act as energy accumulators. Inside the battery chemical reactions take place between two plates of lead, water and sulfuric acid (these two components produce electrolyte).
The wear of these lead plates causes a short circuit inside the battery. Consequently, it generates a discharge in a short time which causes the end of the battery´s service life.
Preventive maintenance is required, especially in the terminals state eliminating the sediments produced by the evaporation of the acid. Once removed, a layer of Vaseline or grease must be applied on them to prevent the appearance of sediment. Also, the connections between the terminals and the connectors of the electric installation must be kept clean.
HIBARI® offers the broadest batteries portfolio for each type of motorcycle with technology, excellent performance and durability. These types are: traditional type, maintenance-free, for use in high and low cylinder capacity.
